My most recent craft projects have been these car seat covers!
I love the colors in this one (above). The grey goes well with the car seat, and the dark burgundy in the flowers matches my diaper bag! The "minky" fabric underneath is SO SOFT. I love to touch it. I do think that it will keep baby too warm during the hotter months, so I also made one with lighter colors and fabric.
I really like this chevron trend happening right now. I paired it with the green fabric so that it would be light, and not absorb too much heat. It's so pretty! I also was thinking about Keith with this one. I already have a girly enough diaper bag, so I wanted something a little bit more masculine for him to carry around.
This one turned out much cleaner looking because I had some practice with the other and learned from my mistakes. :)
I'm done making them. Unless I decide to make some as gifts later. :D

Those car seat covers make me want to have another baby just so I can get one! I like the Chevron pattern too! Wait til you decide that you cant find a "hooter hider" that you like... you will be making one of those too! I had found the perfect, lacy black one when I had Max so I was happy with what I had but could never find a good secondary, back up one like it ever again. It had a nice ribbed neckline so it was easy to peek down at my baby has he nursed to make sure he wasnt making a mess of himself or suffocating. The ones without the ribbed neckline just collapse as you're trying to look down and with one hand, its a nuisance to keep the peep spot open.
