1 and a half more weeks?

How far along? 38 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Yes, but I'm now shopping for post-baby clothes! Ones that will be easy to nurse with. I'm keeping the tags on them though, because I don't know if I've gotten the right size...
Stretch marks? Two.
Sleep: I've been sleeping surprisingly well, actually. The only discomfort I have is my skin is stretching away from my rib cage. But I get used to it after a while. Also, I'm posting this blog at 1 in the morning because for some reason tonight I can't get sleepy!
Best moment this week: At my doctors appointment this week the doctor said he would like to induce me a couple days earlier than my due date! The computers at the hospital were down during my visit, but we'll schedule it this coming Thursday. We're probably looking at inducing on the 26th, but maybe I'll have her sooner!
Miss Anything? Shopping for clothes. The styles this summer are so cute and I want to buy so many things, but I have to wait...
Movement: Yes. And it's getting more and more uncomfortable.
Food cravings: Oreos.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Oreos after I eat them (it's a vicious cycle).
Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: Yes, finally. I've had a couple of contractions here and there in the past two weeks, but nothing consistant.
Belly Button in or out? Still in!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy.
Looking forward to: This Thursday so we can schedule the induction!

i know you don't know me, but why are you getting induced? Did they mention to you that inducing a first time mom before her due date increase her risk of c-section by almost 50%? Just thought I would ask what the difference a few days makes? Inductions are long and harder than natural labor (with or without an epidural they are harder) they also increase the risk of distress on the baby because they force stronger and harder contractions. Please do your research, a lot of moms go into birth just believing their doctor knows what is best. I am a midwife who delivers babies in the hospital and a lot of inductions are done just so the doctors don't have to wake up in the middle of the night to deliver your baby. good luck and your nursery is ADORABLE.
