Regrets.

A couple of months ago, a stray kitty came to play with Nooni at the window. It had been a while since she had seen another cat, so she FREAKED OUT! I wasn't at home, but Keith told me all about it. The kitty was very skinny, so he put out some food for her. She came back the next day, and I fed her again. This went on for about a month.

One night after I came home from work, I was sitting on the couch playing on the computer. When I looked up at the window, I saw a second kitty that looked JUST like the first one, just looking at me. It was kinda scary!! I thought it was funny though, and I wanted to show Keith when he got home, so I took a picture. When I looked at the picture on my camera, I noticed a THIRD cat in the background (not the same picture here)! What the heck! It's like the first kitty went and told all her friends after she realized the food was a reoccurring thing. At that point I had kinda regretted feeding her all that time, but I kept on feeding them anyway.

Another reason I regret feeding them is because Nooni has ruined our blinds trying to play with them through the window. Now we have to pay for new ones when we leave. Grrr...

This morning I regretted my decision the most... At 4:30am Keith and I woke up to a weird howling noise outside our window! I looked outside, and there was a NEW cat! He was howling at the twin kitties... probably to impress them. I knocked on the window to try to scare him, but he wouldn't budge, so Keith got the Swiffer sweeper and poked him! LOL! He ran away and the howling stopped. Unfortunately it wasn't easy getting back to sleep for me, and I had to get up in 2 hours.

I feel really bad, but I HAVE to stop feeding them. It's gotten ridiculous. My patio is like a neighborhood hang-out for the strays and it's like a freak show! And my blinds keep getting worse!

I love cats, and if it were just the two twin kitties, I would still keep feeding them because they are so cute, and they look like they need it. They're looking at me right now, in fact, and I haven't fed them today and I want to. But it's more trouble than it's worth. I wish I could reason with them! haha. Hopefully in time they'll get the hint and go looking for food elsewhere. It breaks my heart, but I gotta. Hopefully I can stand my ground...

Oh my gosh! That is hilarious. I mean, sad, but hilarious. We tried to feed a kitty when we got here and I kept putting food out and they would NEVER come. Hmmm, but our powers combined.........
