Disneyland Vs. Magic Kingdom (my rant)

My day at Disneyland was the most magical day of my LIFE. Disneyland had the Christmas music, the Christmas themed rides, and the amazing firework show followed by a snow fall. I love Disneyland so much. The Magic Kingdom is great! But so far nothing compares to the experience I had at Disneyland.

On Tuesday Keith and I are going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom. I'm SO excited. We're going to get dressed up all Christmas-y! It'll be great! I love Christmas, so even though it won't be the same as Disneyland, it will still make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. lol

I have found out some things recently that have made me SUPER sad about the difference between DL and MK though...

First of all, they don't even DO the Christmas themed rides here. They just LEAVE THEM the way they always are. LAME! The Haunted Mansion transformed into The Nightmare Before Christmas was my favorite! It was awesome! They don't do that here. Also, I really liked the It's a Small World ride all Christmas-y, too. But nope. Can't look forward to that here. When I found out I was very let down. :(

The second thing is that Space Mountain (My favorite ride EVER!) has been in refurbishment the entire time I've been here. It opens on November 22! I've been SOO excited for it to open, but now I don't even KNOW! haha... When Disneyland did their refurbishment in 2005 they made it super awesome. I had never been on the older one, so I can't really compare... but when I went on it, it was awesome. Anyway, so you'd think they'd be doing the same thing to the one here, right? WRONG. I found out last week that all they've done is make the track safer, and added some cool things to do in line while you wait. So it's going to be the same ride it has been since 1971. BOOOOO!! I'm still going to ride it, but I don't think it will match up to Disneyland Space Mountain.

As soon as I found all this out, I looked online to see how much plane tickets cost to California. :) haha

Bleh.... so I'm very disappointed. But I can't make a true comparison until I go. Maybe I'll love them equally for their different unique qualities! I'll let you all know how I feel in a couple weeks. :D
