Spurs Vs. Mavericks Game 5

Yesterday started off bad. I had a doctors appointment which I dreaded, ran a red light, and then I got lost looking for someones house. The rest of the day was going to be spent watching TV while Keith played World of Warcraft. HOORAY.

My brother and sister-in-law were going to go to the Spurs game together, but they offered to let US go instead! It was super nice of them! My Uncle Jim has season passes and he let them use it, and has taken my brother twice since he's been here. I've never gone to a Spurs game before, so this time, WE got to go! It was awesome. My uncle has 8th row seats near the hoop, so it was a pretty good view. I got some good pictures. :D

The Spurs lost, but it was still really fun. And my day ended a whole lot better than expected. Keith and I had so much fun!

Update on "Getting Crafty"

I made the plaque last night for Keith and I, and I went with the original design! I'm excited to put it up in our new apartment when we get it!

Also, for anyone wondering how I did it and want to make something similar, here's how:

Supplies:
1. An art projector. I got mine at Hobby Lobby for about $30 with the 40% off coupon online. They go on sale once in a while, but for only 25-30% off.

2. A plaque/canvas/whatever you want it on. Again, Hobby Lobby. The one I used was $4.99, and was one of the more simple ones there.

3. Paint. I used paint pens. It was easy, so I suggest them. They're $2.99 at Hobby Lobby.

How to do it:
1. Print out the word/saying really small onto white paper. You can use trial and error to get the right size.

2. Pin your plaque onto the wall to project onto, and get it just the way you want it displayed.

3. CAREFULLY trace the projection onto the plaque. A steady hand is KEY.

4. Let it dry and you're done!

Packing.

I bought boxes and plastic totes to put our stuff in. We're going to have my car, Keiths car, and Keith's parents suburban to put all of it in. Keith's family is also coming with us, so there wont be a whole lot of room to put our stuff in the suburban. SO now I have to condense as much as possible.

I've reserved two boxes for kitchen stuff, one for bathroom stuff, two for decorations (I'm a decorator. This is HARD), one for craft supplies, and one for miscellaneous things. Anything that doesn't fit in those boxes STAYS. We've also made a pile of all our wedding presents we haven't opened ready to go.

I'm afraid we won't be able to fit everything! Maybe we'll have to rent a trailer from Uhaul or something. We'll see.

Another dilema I'm having is that I want to pack everything NOW, but I can't, because I have to use some of it before we leave. I'm so anxious!

Getting Crafty

Ever since I figured out that the name "Lindsey" could be jumbled up to say "Disney" I've been coming up with ideas. One I had right away was to make a plaque for Keith's parents that said "The Lindseys" to display in their home. Keith's parents looove Disney, so I knew they'd love it. Here's how it turned out:

Cool huh?! I was proud of it, and his parents really liked it! Now I'm gonna make one for Keith and I, but I thought of some other possibilities. Tell me what you think.

and

Or stick with the original design?

Random Updates

Since about Friday last week I've had a cold. It's so annoying! I've gone through an entire roll of toilet paper and a half a box of kleenex to blow my nose. A couple of weeks ago my little nephew and niece had the same thing and you know how kids are... They cough in your face and wipe their snot on their hands and such, so I was bound to get something. I'm miserable. I had to skip church on Sunday so I wouldn't contaminate the Sunbeams in my class, then making the whole ward sick. My niece Elizabeth now has STREP THROAT. Wish me luck guys...

Yesterday I was surfing the net, trying to find out about a website I used to have, and I stumbled upon a website that had a huge virus attached. All of the sudden my virus protector was like "WOAH WE HAVE A PROBLEM" and wouldn't let me do anything. After fiddling with it for 10 minutes I shut everything down and turned the computer off. When I turned it back on it wouldn't load Windows and there was a blue screen telling me about an error. It was scary. I was thinking that all my pictures and videos were gone forever! It wouldn't be a huge problem, since I had most of it backed up. My wonderful husband is amazing with computers and he fixed it all for me! He had to reinstall Windows, and was able to save all my files! Amazing. Now I just have to reinstall iTunes, Photoshop, my webcam software, and everything else. Not a problem. :D

I feel like I have conquered this blog layout system. I figured out how to make images transparent and know the HTML code for the Minima layout and know how to tweak it. If anyone reading this would like me to make them a layout or even a header I will do it! I love doing it, which is why I have a layout for like 2 weeks and then it changes. :D

In Florida related news: I started packing today! I'm way excited. Keith starts working at Disney World in ONE MONTH! Which means we leave even sooner! YEEEEEE! :D

new layout and new plans.

I've been changing layouts a lot but I think this one will be on here for a while. :)

Yesterday when I was shopping with my sister in law, I got out my mickey mouse pen to write with and tried writing the logo. Then I wrote our last name like it! So I think it looks pretty good! Once we actually GO to Disney World, I'm sure we'll replace the pictures.

You all have no idea how excited I am.

Since Monday after we found out, I've been trying to figure out how all of this will work out. We have to figure out where we're going to LIVE! I've had about a dozen apartment complexes bookmarked and I've narrowed them down to 5 after I went to an apartment rating place online and checked the safety and quality of all of them. I hope we can find a place to live!

Nooni is coming with us, and so I have to get her shots updated and make sure she's allowed into Florida. I also have to get her used to driving with us in the car! I'm trying to wean her into it by just letting her explore the car with the engine off. Next, I'll turn on the engine til she gets used to it, and then we'll take some short trips. I just don't want a cat freaking out the entire trip over there! And I hate to see her unhappy. :(

I need to finish school and get all my thank-you notes out from all the wedding presents before we go, or else I'll never get it done (I'm a procrastinator)! Ideally
I'd like to have it all done by the end of April.

I have to figure out what we're going to pack! I don't know whether or not we should bring the big furniture. Our bed is our main concern. I was planning on buying everything else on craigslist.com and such. The other option is just to stick as much stuff in our cars as we can and just get whatever we need later.

I've never REALLY moved away from home. I was in Idaho for a semester, but everything was already taken care of there. So I'm really nervous. But I know that Keith will take care of us and everything will be just fine. I'm going to get a hold of a bishop in Kissimmee, and see if he knows who can help.

Though there is a lot of stresses right now, we are still super excited and can't wait to start our new life together. :D

WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! OMG!!!!111!!

This morning I was cleaning out Nooni's litter box and Keith walked into the room and said "I think I may have broken a record." I jumped because I didn't hear him coming and his voice scared me. Not looking up, I said "You scared me! ...What do you mean, you broke a record?" Then he showed me his phone. On the e-mail he showed me there was a big long paragraph but all I read was "Congratulations" and "Attractions." I was like "WHATTT?!! YOU GOT ATTRACTIONS?! OH MY GOODNESS!!!" and got up to give him a huge hug. I felt like I did when it snowed at Disneyland. I was all emotional and SUPER happy. Then we went and told my family in the next room. They were all excited for us. :D

Keith said he may have broken a record because we have been researching the program this entire time, and I have been reading the forums and watching people's vlogs. The quickest response after an interview that I've seen is 9 days, the longest being 2 months. He got his in 5 days! FIVE DAYS! We weren't expecting it until at least 2 weeks went by.

So Keith went online to accept the invitation and chose a date he would be there. He has to be there on May 20th, which means we're moving in a MONTH! TO FORIDA! We're so excited. YAYYY!!!

We'll be there for 7 months: Late May to early January. And we're going to have to find a place off campus so that Nooni and I can live with Keith too! haha :D

Waiting...

Keith had his phone interview for the internship on Wednesday. They called at 1:40 and I sat outside the bedroom with my Minnie Mouse ears listening in. Keith did very well, but with a phone interview it was hard for him to feed off of the interviewers vibes, so he's not sure how they liked him! So now we WAIT for the acceptance/denial letter.

Today Keith got an e-mail from the recruiter he interviewed with. During the interview, he asked about days off and requested time off on August 8th and December 13th (anniversary and my birthday). So in the e-mail, she told him he would be able to have 6 requested days off the whole time and set him up to have August 6th, 7th and 8th off, then December 12th, 13th, and 14th and asked him if that was okay.

That seems to me like he's in! But... we won't know for sure until we get the letter!

Updates:

1. Keith put together a fencing tournament this weekend! On Friday he was gone all
day trying to get everything together. It turned out looking amazing. He fenced Saturday and Sunday and his school took 4th place and he took 3rd place. He would have done better had he gotten more sleep. Saturday night my family made his team some breakfast tacos so he could get some sleep. It was fun. Keith is completely pooped from the whole thing and is glad it's over.

2. On Saturday I did some modeling! I had asked Sister Smith in our ward if I could model for her clothing website Modest Threadz when I found out about it a couple months ago and she asked me on Monday to do it. It was a lot of fun! It was hot outside though, so you can kinda tell in my face that I was uncomfortable. I think the pics turned out good. They aren't up on the website as of now, but I think they'll be up in a couple days.

3. DISNEYYY: Keith went to the campus presentation today and got to talk to the recruiters. One of them said he 'had Disney written all over him' which is a good sign! He signed up for an interview on Wednesday. YAY!

To celebrate this whole process, and to keep positive thoughts, I bought us some shirts off of Disney.go.com. They came on Friday and we wore them today. :D

Keith's family has booked the vacation to Disney World this December, so even if there's no internship, we're still going! WE'RE SO EXCITED!

4. Tonight we hung out with Brad and Rachel! It was a lot of fun! First we went to Longhorn Cafe for dinner, then we went to their apartment and played board games - Clue and Balderdash. WOOO I haven't laughed as hard as I did tonight in a loong time. It was awesome! I laugh just thinking about it! LOL...

So that's what's been going on in our lives. Right now we're just waiting to see what happens next!
