Day 24 - Where we live

Unfortunately, Keith and I live in Provo, Utah. Fortunately, I have a lot of friends around me which makes it bearable! I think I would go crazy if it weren't for that.

Anyway, the location we live in isn't much to talk about, but our house is cute! Here are some pictures!

Our tiny bedroom. It looks like this maybe once a month. You put two things on the ground and it looks like a mess because it's so small.

Keith and I's part of the house. Our bedroom is to the right, the door you can see is our bathroom, and there's a room on the left behind the stairs that is our storage room.

Day 23 - A YouTube Video

This YouTube video is of Keith and I on the Monorail for my first trip to the Magic Kingdom in July '09. Look how excited I was! I'm like a kid.

Day 22 - A website!

Keith and I love to read articles and blogs.

His favorite website that he checks up on every day is Cracked.com.
It's a website full of funny articles about some interesting and weird things! I like it when he reads them to me, because a lot of those articles are our kind of humor. Minus the bad words.

My favorite blog that I read every day is The Daily What.
It's just filled with funny, dumb, interesting, cool links, pictures and videos.
I love it and I get upset when it goes down every now and then. lol

Check 'em out!

things...

First of all, Keith's birthday was on the 8th! Happy Birthday KEITH!! He had a great day. He worked, but not for too long. I had to work the evening shift at Bajio, but I brought him home some shrimp tacos which he LOVED. We were having a Star Wars marathon that weekend, so we watched a couple Star Wars movies, ate some cake, and played video games. He loved it. :)

In other news, Keith and I have been struggling to figure out what we're going to do when our lease is up in July. Ideally we'd like to go back to Florida immediately, but we don't have the funds to do so. First we thought that we would stay in Utah for another year, hopefully I'd have a decent job and we could build up our savings again. But... we hate Utah, and Keith's job is not as awesome as it could be, so another year will only drive us crazier. Now, our plan is to move back to Texas when our lease is up! Keith's parents have offered to let us live with them for a bit, while we work and live rent free. THEN we'll move back to Florida. Sounds good to me!! Keith and I like to think that right now, we're halfway done living in Utah. We've been here for about 6 months, and we've got about 6 months left. So there is a light at the end of the very cold tunnel. lol :)

Speaking of Florida, I will be there in March! I am SO excited, as you may have guessed. Keith is not coming with me because he doesn't work at Disney anymore and I do. So I'll be working while I'm there to keep all my awesome benefits going. It's so amazing - all I have to do is work 40 hrs a year and I get in free to any Disney park and get all the discounts and everything. It's perfect! Plus, my trip is pretty much paid for just by working there for that week. I'll be staying with my good friends Ben and Luana Parkes. They are awesome. I love them.

Keith is really jealous, but he's happy that I'm so excited about it! It's something to think about as I come home from a really crappy day at work. I come home feeling so happy!

Ahhhh.... :)

Day 21 - A recipe!

"Chili Pot Pie"
This is a family favorite! I grew up with this. My mom got it on the back of a Fritos bag in the 70's or something. It never gets old. Keith loves it too!

Ingredients:
- 1lb of beef
- 2 cans of pinto beans
- 1 can enchilada sauce
- cheese
- Fritos

Feeds 4-6 people

Directions:
1. Brown the beef in a large skillet/pan. Drain.
2. Add 2 cans of pinto beans and 1 can enchilada sauce. Stir until warm.
3. Pour contents of pan into a serving bowl along with cheese and Fritos (I like to layer the ingredients)
4. Mix and serve! Easy peasy!

Deeeelicious. :)

Day 20 - Hobbies

Keith has several hobbies. He likes to play soccer and he fences time to time. He likes to read and learn a lot. I would say his main hobby is playing video games though. He plays World of Warcraft (BOOO!!), Call of Duty and Starcraft etc. on the computer and sports games on the PS3 most. He really likes all video games. He's even making his own video game!

Here's a picture of us a couple months ago. I think we were singing, which would explain the awkwardness. lol

And here he is fencing! (he's the one on the right!)

I like artsy things. I like to take pictures, paint, design, decorate, and make things pretty. I don't paint as much as I'd like because that takes money which I don't have much of, and when I do have the money, it means I don't have the time because I'm working too much. It's a vicious cycle. lol.
I think I've demonstrated most of those hobbies on here before, but let me share some new pictures.

GOOSE photo. Taken just outside my workplace.

Christmas & New Year's Eve!

Christmas Eve:
Keith and I both had to work on Christmas Eve. I started my new job at a restaurant called Bajio! It was interesting! I've been working there for five days now, so I'm getting used to it, but it was stressful at first.

After work Raquel and I were going to make dinner and eat at home, but our kitchen was a mess and we didn't want to make it even worse, or clean it twice in one night, so we all went out to eat! Steve, Raquel, Keith and I decided to go to Tepanyaki. I suggested it because the family from the Christmas Story went to a Chinese restaurant on Christmas ('tis the season to be jorry!).

We came home and found out that we had 7 hours worth of AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR recorded on our DVR so we had to watch all of them. That was our Christmas Eve activity. At 2:30 in the morning, we finally went to bed. Well, the guys did anyway. Raquel and I took the last chance we could to wrap our husbands presents. In order for them not to hear us wrapping presents, we bundled up and went out to my car to wrap them. It was SO cold! But it was fun. We snuck into the house and placed the presents under the tree and then went to bed at around 3am.

Christmas:
Keith and I woke up at around NOON. We went to the living room to watch the Disney Christmas Parade on TV. I said "LOOK! SANTA CAME!" and Keith was like "But those presents are probably for Steve and Raquel." I said "No, look, the red ones are for Keith!" and he was all excited. You see, we weren't planning on getting each other gifts because our birthdays are so close to Christmas. So we buy ourself a big gift for the two of us for Christmas. This year it was EPIC MICKEY! Anyway, so he was really happy that he had presents even though they were $1 each. :)

We had a couple of Christmas visitors. My nephew David came over! He was on his way from Chicago to California in hopes of a better life. I was on the way, so he stayed with us for a while! It was so good to see him. He and I basically grew up together in the same house for a couple years, so we have a lot of good memories. I missed him! I only get to see him about every 2 years it seems. We had a lot of fun playing video games and messing around like old times.

Later in the afternoon on Christmas, I was cleaning Nooni's litter box outside and a stray cat came up to me and started meowing like CRAZY! I gave her some food and she acted like she was starving. Poor kitty. I tried to invite her inside where it was warm. It took a while, but she came in! She was very grateful and was cuddling all over David. She was very friendly! Towards the end of the night she started getting vicious, so we put her outside. It's a shame. She had potential. It's okay though, Nooni didn't like her anyway. lol

On the 29th Keith and I went with Keith's friend Wes to BOISE. We went for their best friend, Jesse's wedding! It was fun! On the wedding day we went to Jesse and Rachel's sealing (which was beautiful). In between the sealing and the reception, the three of us went to see TRON LEGACY for the second time. :D

New Years Eve was chill. We bought snacks and watched TV and played games. It was a lot of fun! David was there with us again and then he left the next morning.

Happy New Year! :D
