News

The day before I left for Florida, I got a call from the manager at Hobby Lobby inviting me in for an interview! I have been bugging him ever since before Hobby Lobby opened in August. So much so, that when I would go in to shop, he would say hi to me and call me by name. lol

Anyway, so I went in for the interview and did alright. He made me take a math test, which I did really bad on... but he gave me the job anyway! After the interview, I went to Bajio to eat, and then gave my two-week notice. It worked out, because I was also in Florida for 2 weeks!

I'm not particularly excited about the job. It's better than working 2, though! I haven't quit at the call center yet, but I may soon. I've been back at Hobby Lobby for 2 days, and it's been good! I have been trying to get back into the groove of things, trying to get used to the things that have changed since I've been there. We'll see how things go...

Another exciting thing for me is that I took engagement pictures for my nephew Derek and his new fiancé Rachael! They were my first real photo-shoot! It was a ton of fun. They are really sweet together, and are a great couple! They're getting married May 7th in Spokane, WA. Soon! I'm really excited for them. Here's some of my favorite pictures from that day. :)

Derek told me before we met up that they wanted to dress up as Napoleon and Deb. I was confused at first, but remembered that Derek is pretty much Napoleon Dynamite. lol

So cute!! Congrats, Derek and Rachael!

Spring Break

I don't go to school, so my spring break was a break from Utah! 'Twas amazing.
On the 9th I flew to Florida. I stayed with my good friends Ben and Luana Parkes. They were so good to me, and I am thankful for their help!

On my first day there, it rained all morning! That didn't stop me from having fun, though! I went to the Boardwalk to see my friends there. It was really nice to reunite with people! It was still raining so I hung out at the Boardwalk for a couple hours, and then played! I went to Epcot first.

It was SO good to be back, not only at Disney, but with my friends in Florida. I missed them so much!

Pretty much any chance I got, I spent time at the Parks. I spent a lot of time by myself. I didn't really mind though, I like to just be there and people watch, watch the shows, and take pictures. I did get to hang out with some friends. Keith and I's friend Josh works at Space Mountain, so one of the days he and I hung out. He took me to the TUNNELS! It was so cool!! I had never been to the tunnels. For those who don't know, the tunnels are underneath the Magic Kingdom, they're for the cast members to get to place to place without ruining the "show". I was like a kid in a candy store. lol

I also got to see my friends Travis and Lindsea . We hung out at Hollywood Studios, and watched "Fantasmic!" together. On my last Friday there, Luana and I met up with Ben and Adam at the Animal Kingdom to watch our friend Andrea play Dory in the Finding Nemo musical! It was so much fun. Afterwards, we all went to the Magic Kingdom to watch the new castle show and the fireworks. The castle show was AMA-ZA-ZING. I cried. It was such a fun night.

I didn't want to go home! I would have stayed, had Keith been there with me. I missed him, so I came home. :D

Hopefully Keith and I will be out there again real soon.

Day 29 - hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days

This is an interesting topic, because our plans are always changing. Like, every month there's a new plan.

Here's the thing. We do not like Utah. We wish to leave as soon as we can.
Our plans have included moving to San Antonio after the lease is up, then Keith had a potential job opportunity in Salt Lake City and were excited about that, but it didn't turn out. So then we thought about San Antonio again for a while until we saved up some money to go back to Florida.

NOW, we're just thinking that we should just move directly to Florida.

So our hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days is that we can move back to Florida ASAP.
We know it will be hard since moving here has made us super poor, but it's a chance we're willing to take. We were so happy in Florida, and it wasn't just because of Disney. Keith and I had more time for each other and actually spent that time together. I didn't have a lot of friends there and work was hard, but overall I was happier. So was Keith.

Once we get to Florida we will continue our jobs at Disney, Keith will get his degree, and hopefully get a management job. We also are looking into buying a house (a cheap one)! I'm really excited to go back and start over. :)
