The Lindsey side of the family came to visit from Texas for a week. It was a lot of fun!
On my birthday we all went skiing and snowboarding at the Sundance resort. I was really scared so I wasn't all that excited, but it turned out to be a good learning experience! I learned how to ski, and I learned that I don't like skiing. I fell down SO many times and it was really frustrating. I think I would enjoy snowboarding more. After my lessons, I sat the rest of the day out next to the fire pit. MMM...
On our way home we picked up a cake for me. On the way to Walmart I got an email amongst all the birthday notifications on Facebook from the job I had interviewed for earlier that week. They said I didn't get it. This was devastating

for me, because I was 98% sure I would get it, and I was making all kinds of plans for the future, and I got my hopes up. They couldn't have waited one more day to let me know. Granted, they had no way of knowing it was my birthday, but still. It put a damper on my already frustrating day...
We got home and celebrated my birthday. I invited Brittney over and she got to meet the family. I hadn't talked to her in a while, so it was nice to see her. We ate cake and I opened presents. It was a nice evening to my frustrating day. :)

finally someone who hates skiing as much as me! it IS super frustrating to fall all the time and get snow in your clothes, ugh -- and i learned to ski when i was 5! and i thought snowboarding looked easier and more fun, but i hated it almost as much as skiing.
now that the negative part of my speech is over, happy belated birthday! i'm glad the birthday celebration part was good :)
(fleskst) ???
YAY! Happy Birthday! That stinks though that you had to heard that sad news about the job on your birthday, but overall I'm glad you go to have cake and play in snow :P
I hope you have an awesome birthday month!!!
