Christmas

This past week was so much fun! Keith's whole family came out to see us (including Rakel!) Rakel is Keith's brothers wife. She lived in Mexico and had been trying to get a visa into the U.S. for years and they had always denied her. On the 16th she had an interview and this time she got it! We were all so happy to have her be with all of us and to get to know her better. It was the first time all of the family was together.

Luckily Keith and I both had the first 2 days they were here off, so we were able to be with them then. On the first day we went to the Animal Kingdom. It was soo busy (I don't recommend coming during the week of Christmas). It was fun though! While we were waiting in lines we got to visit and catch up. We also did Epcot that night and watched the fireworks.

The second day we all went to The Magic Kingdom! It was fun to have everyone there, and to show Rakel around since it was her first time to a Disney park. Unfortunately we didn't do as much as we would have liked because it was so crowded.

I was hoping to take pictures of the family at the Polynesian Resort that morning, but we decided it would have been too much of a walk for the grandparents. So then we thought about taking a picture in front of the castle in the park, but that didn't happen either. It was really worrying me because I wanted to do it so bad since this was probably the only time we'd all be together like that. Well, we had dinner at the Grand Floridian and there was a photographer there taking pictures in front of the Christmas tree in the lobby. They were only going to be there until 9:30 and we got done with dinner at 9:35. I asked, and they said they would wait for us and take a couple pictures for us. THANK GOODNESS!


I think it turned out beautiful! I edited it, printed some off, framed them and gave them as Christmas presents. It was great.

On Tuesday Keith and I both worked, but the rest of the family went to Epcot. We met up with them later, but Keith wasn't feeling well so we went home early.

Wednesday the family went to Hollywood Studios, and again, we met up with them later. We had so much fun. It was just us "kids" and we just relaxed and talked while watching the dancing Christmas lights. :)

On Christmas Eve, Steve and Rakel went to Utah. Sad. We didn't go to any parks, but we did go see The Princess and the Frog all together! I love that movie. Also, there was one of those Sling Shot rides next to the family's hotel, so Keith and I went on it! It seemed scary at first because I didn't know what to expect, but it's so AWESOME (and extremely smooth)! We are gonna go do that a lot now.

On Christmas day Keith and I had to work. It was alright for me because a lot of people were nice and told me I didn't have to do their rooms, so I got to go home early. The rest of the night we hung out with the family and had one more meal together. They left the next day.

It was soooo fun to have them all here. I wish they lived closer to us!

Our apartment was neglected and I didn't get much sleep while they were here, so I'll have to catch up. :) I gotta get things ready for next week: My mom is coming! Yay!
