Halloween In September!

On Tuesday, Keith and I had a day off together. We went to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon in the morning and had a great time! We got home at 3 in the afternoon and still had a ton of energy, so we thought about going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. Usually we don't have to think about these things because there is no cost to us to go to the parks. This event, however costs us money. We get a discount as cast members, but it's still a bit pricey.

It was totally worth every penny!

Since we hadn't really planned on going ahead of time, we made up some simple costumes. I was Goofy and Keith was Pluto. I think we looked cute. :)

Doesn't the castle look scary? We went on the perfect day. It was a little rainy at first, but after an hour it cleared up. I think the rain clouds add to the spooky effect.

The first thing we did was waited for the show to begin in front of the castle. It was some kind of villan special where all the Disney Villans come out and put on a show and then come out and mingle with the guests. The show was postponed, but the villans came out to mingle. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures with them. It was pretty cool though!

We did some trick-or-treating next! This is what I love about Disney - you're never too old to do anything. It's like Neverland! We saw people of all ages in costumes collecting candy. Keith and I got 2 big bags full. YUM.

When we were in Toon Town trick-or-treating, we noticed that Mickey was greeting guests. So we got in line and I met him for the first time! He kissed my hand. It was definitely a magical moment. :D

Next was the parade. Now THAT was awesome! Basically, the characters are themed with Halloween costumes and there are ghosts and ghouls instead of fairies and princesses. My favorite part was when Jack Sparrows float went by. He was on our side of the parade and I got his attention by yelling "JACK!". He looked at me and I blew him a kiss! He put out his hand and caught it. Keith was watching the whole thing, so he looked at Jack and was like "what the heck, bro?" and Jack shrugged and was like "sorry, mate" (Now, none of that was actually said. Those were just the gestures made). It was awesome. I got it on video so I'll post it later if I can.

The fireworks show was pretty cool too. It was different than the show they do every night. It featured all the villans songs from the movies.

The party went til midnight so we had time to kill. We did some more trick-or-treating and went on some rides. When we went on Pirates of the Caribbean there was hardly anyone else there. We got the whole boat to ourselves! It was like our own private tour.

At the end of the night we just walked around the park and took pictures. It was such a fun night. I wish we could go all the time. But it makes me excited for Christmas now! Iif we had that much fun at Disney's Halloween party, I can't even imagine what the Christmas party will be like. My head will probably explode with happiness.
