NERO!

We got a puppy! yayyyy....

I hate to be negative, but... He's driving me CRAZY. It's like we adopted a 2-year old child with no discipline.
I've never had a dog before except when I was little. They were all big outdoor dogs and I had no part in their upbringing. So this is VERY new and stressful for me. :(

OK so here's the story.
Keith has been wanting a dog ever since we moved here. He missed his family's dog, Brutus (Brutus is a really awesome dog. I love that dog). I had been telling him that we should wait until we had a house before we got a dog so that it could play in a yard and go to the bathroom easily outside. Makes sense, right? I thought so.
I gave in though. I don't know what changed my mind. I guess I was up for the challenge. Our upstairs neighbors have 2 dogs, so I thought if they could do it, so could we (I still need to talk to them for tips).

Keith wanted a full-bred miniature pinscher (like Brutus). I wanted to rescue a puppy from the pound. We looked at the pound puppies and they only had big breeds available. And I'm all for rescuing full grown dogs, but I'm afraid that it would eat Nooni. haha SO we started looking online for a good deal on Min Pins. I found an ad on craigslist.com for our little guy and we went to get him the next day.

So far it's been really overwhelming for me. We've had him for 2 days now and I've spent the most time with him. He's SO cute, but such a pain in the butt. We bought a baby gate to put in the kitchen so while we're gone he's confined to a small space. He still manages to make the biggest mess possible. And since I get home from work first, I get to clean it. Hooray.

NOW, despite the bad things, I do love him. He is such a sweetheart and when I'm mad, I can't stay mad because of his cute little face. I love how he loves to cuddle and sleep on me like a baby. He makes cute little squeeky sounds when he sleeps. SO cute. It makes me forget about what a bad little puppy he is. lol

What is UP.

Here's what's up:

Keith's college program is over! I can't believe we've been here 8 months. It went by too quick! We have sure had a lot of fun. Our time in Florida definitely not up though. I still have my job - with benefits, and now Keith is a seasonal cast member, which means he still works for Disney, but he only has to work 40 hours every 6 months. He's working as a trainer right now, and he'll be doing that for a while. He's currently in the process of getting another job. Disney is great, but it takes a long time to move up the latter, and we need more money to get by. :) So hopefully he gets this job. If not, we might be moving to UTAH, or back to San Antonio. :(

As for my job, you have probably noticed that I'm done with Fort Wilderness (THANK HEAVEN), and I'm back at the Boardwalk! It's so nice to be back. Recently, I've had a couple of adventures! The Boardwalk has had extra housekeepers these days, and sometimes instead of giving out ADOs (authorized day off), they've been sending us to other resorts who are short. It's not a deployment like when I was at the Fort; It's just to help out for the day. So first, they sent me and 3 others to Port Orleans; a New Orleans themed resort. It was a lot of fun! Since we were there to help, all the managers were extremely nice and helpful. It was a nice experience.

The next resort I went to was Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas. It was SO NICE. It's just like the Boardwalk work-wise, except there are live animals outside the rooms. I was cleaning a room and looked out the window and there were 2 baby giraffes with a mommy giraffe! I loved it. I also got to go there the next day.

This Monday was my favorite day of work EVER! I got to go to my favorite resort: Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary resort! I had never been inside, but I have researched it like crazy because I love the style and the location. It's right next to the Magic Kingdom. When I walked into my first room I just about cried because I was so happy. I was on the 10th floor and the first thing I see out of the window is Cinderellas castle and Space Mountain. Amazing. The people there were so nice too and I made some friends! I want to transfer over there. Here are some pictures:

I love it.

Happy Birthday to Keith!

Keith and I are the same age again. I only get 27 days of being older than him and he gets to call me his "old lady". haha.

We didn't celebrate ON his birthday because he was sick, but last night we went to Pei Wei for dinner, rented some movies, and ate some cake. It was nice.

I got him the shirt he's wearing (it's a quote from an SNL Digital Short), and a Wii! We've been having fun with that, and he loves the shirt. YAY!

Happy Birthday Keith!

Isn't he sOoOo cute?! :D

UBER sick vacation.

Last Sunday at the Boardwalk I cleaned a room where the guest was VERY sick! I won't go into details, but their "sickness" was all over the room and it took a very long time to clean. I wore gloves and washed and sanitized my hands afterward because it was so nasty.

I was feeling fine all day Sunday and Monday. My mom flew into town on Monday night and as soon as she called saying her flight had landed, I opened the door to leave, and started feeling a little queezy. I didn't think to much of it, but as the night went on, I was feeling worse and worse. 20 minutes after my mom and I got back from the airport, I was throwing up. "Welcome to Florida mom!"

It was awful. I was up ALL night. I felt like I was gonna die.

The next day we had planned on going to Epcot and being there all day. I was so excited to show my mom around! But unfortunately, I was dizzy, weak, and tired and the cold weather made my ears congested! We did go, but only for a couple hours. I felt really bad that my mom didn't get to see much, but I felt miserable. We went home and rested. My mom had a great time though!

The next day we went to the Magic Kingdom! I was feeling a lot better, though it did take me a while to get up and going because I was exhausted. We got there just in time for the 3 O'clock parade! Mom loved the parade. Jafar came up and messed with her! It was awesome. haha... We stayed for 5 hours and we got a lot done! We watched all the shows and rode all the non-thrill rides because none of us could take it. haha. And instead of staying for the fireworks, we went home and watched my home videos of them. :)

On Thursday it was back to work for me, but I was still too weak to work. I got an ADO. It's a good thing, because now my mom was sick! I felt SO BAD. My mom never gets sick. Luckily her version was a lot less intense, but we didn't do anything that day. We just watched TV and lied on the couches. When Keith got home from work he was complaining of stomach pains. That night, he got sick - and into the next day (which was his birthday). :(

Friday was our last day together, but I had to work for reals. So we said our goodbyes before I left. Keith called in sick that day so he took her to the airport when I was gone...

It just makes me SO MAD! This guest that didn't clean up their mess, and "left it for the housekeeper" has ruined this week that was supposed to be fun-filled and amazing. Inconsiderate.

Despite the sick, I hope my mom had a good time. I sure feel bad for getting them both sick. :(
