No news is good news?

I haven't posted in 2 weeks because not very many exciting things have happened. However, I can post some small updates. :)

+ The thing we do most is WORK. I work from 8-4:30 every day. Keith works at night. We see each other a little bit when he gets home, but then I need to go to bed! It's rough, but I'm just glad to see him for even a little bit. We usually have our days off together which is good. I like those days. A typical day off consists of sleeping in, maybe going to some kind of Disney attraction, eating fast food, and watching a movie or TV while playing on our laptops. Life is good.

I don't know what he does when I'm not home, but I think he just sleeps and plays on his computer. When I'm home alone I try to clean, but it's not as fun when it's your own mess. lol

+ Keith did have some car troubles this week. He likes to use his headlights in the middle of the day, and then forgets that they're on when he goes to work (silly man), so his battery died and he had to buy a new one. He still made it to work on time though.

+ I have been saving up my tip money! Of the money I didn't spend on vending machine snacks, I had $145! I decided to go to Ross and buy myself something pretty. I got me a new dress ($16 and MODEST!), and some cute black shoes. Now I just need an occasion to wear them. haha

+ I got my days off this week mixed up. I thought I had Monday off, so I took it off. I went into work on Tuesday and my manager told me the news. I was so embarrassed! The rooms I had that day had to be dealt out to the other housekeepers. I was a burden on those people. I feel really bad. But I DID get 2 days off out of it. It was very relaxing. :)

+ Keith and I are thinking about buying a HOUSE! We've been looking online a little bit and are trying to figure out how much of a house we can exactly afford. It's nice to dream. We'll see how it goes!

That's all for now. If I think of more, I'll post it. :D

One year down, eternity to go!

Yesterday, August 8th was Keith and I's anniversary! I had to work. I couldn't get it off. Keith, however got the 6th, 7th AND 8th off. Sad story. But I'm glad we were able to spend the evening together.

We couldn't figure out what we wanted to do to celebrate for a long time. First we wanted to go on a Disney cruise, but we decided to save the money. Instead, we went to France! (The Epcot version) We ate at a place called Chefs de France. The cool thing about the World Showcase at Epcot is that everyone who works in the different countries there has to be from that particular country. So our waiter was named Pierre and I could hardly understand a word he said! It was very authentic.

We had a great time, had some great food... the only thing that went wrong was that in the middle of our dinner, two drunk/high guys sat in the table next to us and were being super obnoxious. So we went somewhere else for dessert. It was kinda funny though. :)

It was actually a good thing I went to work that day because when I told my managers that it was my anniversary, my manager, Travis, was able to arrange some VIP seating for the fireworks for us! So we got our dessert and took it to Italy where we sat behind a roped off section with a perfect view of the water, Spaceship Earth, and the fireworks. It was amazing! :)

Christmas, please!

For some reason all of the sudden I have a need for it to be Christmas time, STAT!
I'm just so excited! Some reasons why:

1. Keith's family is coming to visit us for a couple weeks then, and I miss them!
2. The Disney parks are AMAZING during Christmas time.
3. We get to decorate an entire apartment! Not just one room like last year.
4. The music and "spirit of Christmas"(That's a given)
5. My birthday is December 13
6. I like the weather better

It all started when I saw a home shopping channel doing a "Christmas in July" thing where they sell decorations and lights and such.

Luckily, we live near Disney, and they cater to people like me. At Downtown Disney and the Magic Kingdom there are "Disney's Days of Christmas" stores where it's Christmas all year round. I go in there when I need a fix.

But recently we found a new place to go! There's a place called Winter-Summerland Mini golf at Blizzard Beach here at Disney, and the winter side is all Christma-fied! It was so great! I was so happy to be there! They have it all decorated like Christmas, and play Christmas music. It was so much fun. :)
