Bored.

I'll start with Saturday. Keith and I went on a double date with Brad and Rachel Miller! We went to see Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and went to lunch at Celito Lindo. It was so fun! We talked about how fun being newlyweds is. We found out that we have a lot in common! Like how we got a lot of weird wedding gifts, and how my husband and Rachel both talk in their sleep! LOL great stories... Anyway, after lunch they came to our place and played Guitar Hero. It was a lot of fun!

Church on Sundays have become an all-day thing. Keith and I have 5 callings combined. We're both on the activities committee, we're both in Primary; he's the piano man and I teach the sunbeams, and he's the choir pianist. So we go to church at 1 - 4pm, Choir practice is 4 - 5, then we go home and eat for an hour, and have a marriage class from 6 - 7. Sometimes we have home teaching before or after. It's a lot of church! We love it though. I especially love the marriage class. :D

Last night was Date Night. I decided I wanted to go bowling! So I got all dolled up and we went to dinner first at Double Daves Pizza. When we went to the bowling alley the parking lot was full. So were all the alleys. We went to the other bowling alley in the area and it was the same story. Apparently it's league night all over the place. Sad! So instead we went to Hollywood Video and rented some movies. When we got home we made some cookies, and a minute or so after they came out of the oven, the power went out! So there went the idea of watching movies! haha. We lit some candles and played Scrabble on our bed. Even though we didn't do what we had originally planned, we had so much fun!

Nooni-Cat

I thought I'd post about our little kitty, Nooni. She's our first pet together and we love her to death! Well, I do anyway, Keith secretly does but doesn't like to admit it. LOL

I had been wanting a kitten for a long time. My last cat, Dude, ran away after not even a year of living with us. My mom was like "That's it, no more cats!". So I had to bug and bother my mom to get another one. I even bought stickers of cats at Hobby Lobby and stuck them all over the place - on the light switch, on the fridge, on her shampoo... so she'd get the hint. But she still said no.

At Christmas time 2007, Keith suprised me one day on our lunch break by taking me to a pet store! I was like "WHATT!?" He had actually convinced my mom to get me a kitten! We didn't find one that day, but the day after Christmas we searched the whole city for a kitten. At our last stop, we found Nooni! She was so sweet and small and I loved her immediately.

So we've had her for a little over a year now, and she is such a fun cat! I don't think I've ever had a cat with so much personality. She greets me when I come home, she sits on the bar stool anytime we do something at the counter, she even talks to us when we whisper at her (She likes talking to Keith more, though). She makes a meowing clicking sound. She's hilarious! When she cleans herself she sits "inappropriately" as Keith describes it. Sometimes she'll just sit there when she's done and just look around all casual-like. Her favorite toys are water bottle caps, twisty ties, and the laser toy. She keeps all her toys under the furniture so when we move the furniture, we find her stash.

She's been very entertaining and I'm so glad Keith got her for me. :D

Kwarfs Birthday!

Last week, on the 8th, was Keith's 21st birthday! The night before, we went to Chili's to eat as a pre-celebration. On his birthday he opened his presents. My mom and aunt got him a leather jacket that he looks super sexy in. I got him a video game he had been wanting for a while - Little Big Planet (which is actually really cool to watch), a DVD of Get Smart, and I baked him a cake! At night, we had pizza at home and then I took him to see Valkyrie. That was a pretty good movie...

On the 9th, we celebrated his birthday with his family. More cake, more presents!

Happy birthday, Kwarf! I love you! :D

DISNEYLAND

OK, so I was born and raised in California, and I was the baby of the family. You'd think someone would have taken me to Disneyland at some point in time, right? My brother promised to take me when I was 8 years old, but instead he got married and took his wife there. That was rough. haha... Anyway, I was deprived of the Disney Park experience all my life.

Keith was born in Orlando, Florida, and has been to Disney World 3 times. He had never been to Disneyland though. :D

Well, at the end of our vacation, I finally got to go. Keith took me as a birthday present to me (my hero!). We woke up at 6 in the morning to get ready and get there at 8am. It didn't really set in how awesome it was until we were waiting in line to get into the park. The music was playing and I started getting really excited to the point where I started to tear up. I WAS FINALLY GOING TO DISNEYLAND! This is epic.

As we inched up to the front of the line, we could hear the magical sounding scanning sounds. Then we were IN. I already knew what I wanted to do first - Ride the Pirates of The Caribbean ride. As we sped-walked there I saw the castle and the cute little town. The line was super short because we were the first ones in. I couldn't believe I was actually there! I was so happy I cried a little. It was an amazing ride. We went on it 3 times.

Next was breakfast. We forgot to eat before we got into the park, so we went to the River Belle Terrace and had pancakes! Mine were Mickey Mouse pancakes. :D

After we ate we went on the Thunder Mountain Railroad, (which is a lot more fun than it looks), and the Haunted Mansion. The Haunted Mansion was Christma-fied to be like the Nightmare Before Christmas. I was AMAZED at the ghosts in there. They looked so REAL! Wow. I was like a little kid. I cried on that one too.

Speaking of being a little kid, since I didn't get to go when I was little, I dragged Keith on the Dumbo and Teacup rides. I also had to buy a set of Mickey Mouse ears at the Mad Hatter. I got Minnie Mouse ears instead though. :)

We went on the Matterhorn, then It's a Small World (because they're those rides you just HAVE to go on to get the full experience). They were fun! After those, we waited way too long in line for the Finding Nemo submarine ride. We had some women behind us who didn't understand personal space or english for that matter. lol it was funny though. The ride was definitely not worth the hour-long wait, but I'm glad we went on it anyway!

At the end of the Finding Nemo ride we were hungry for lunch so we ate at the Pizza Port and had some PIZZA. Then we went next door to the Honey, I Shrunk the Audience, which was better than I expected, too! It was so much fun!!

Oh boy... ok so we were there all day - open to close. We did so many things. So I'll just go over the highlights:

All day I was asking Keith where the characters were! I had in my imagination that when you went to Disneyland, the characters hung out with you and rode the rides with you and stuff! lol At night though, there was a parade. We saw ALL the characters at once! I was like a little kid. I got excited over every character. I even cried again I was so happy! I was even happy to see Santa! And I hated Santa when I was little! lol

After the parade we had a couple hours before the fireworks show so we went to SPACE MOUNTAIN! We waited a long time in line though. I had no idea what I was in for though. It was freaking amazing. I loved the music, too (I'm trying to find it to download)! ANYWAY, our picture in the end was hilarious. Space Mountain is my favorite ride (besides POTC).

Before the fireworks, Keith and I got some food and found a spot to sit. People ended up standing up (lame) so I couldn't see very well, but it turned out okay. The fireworks so was sooooo amazing. There was a single firework at one point that went across the castle in an arch like the logo. It was beautiful, so beautiful. The fireworks made me cry it was so amazing. I was already emotional about the fireworks when all of the sudden it started to snow. Then I really became emotional. It was so beautiful and perfect and it was the best day ever.

I LOVE DISNEYLAND.

California Christmas

BEST VACATION EVER. It started out with Keith and I leaving church and heading out on the road. We drove and drove, stayed in a Motel 6 in Tucson, drove some more and made it to Los Angeles in 2 days. We decided to stay in L.A. for a while to go sight-seeing! We had never been there so it was exciting. First, we had some In-N-Out. I had eaten there before, but I didn't remember how it was, and it was Keiths first time. I thought it was okay. Keith thought it was good though!

After we got settled in our room, we got showered and ready to go out on the town. First we went to the Graumanns Chinese Theater with the Walk of Fame. It was so cool! We got to see footprints and hand prints of Christopher Walken, Shirley Temple, JOHNNY DEPP, and even Darth Vader! We walked down Hollywood Boulevard and Keith bought me a souvenir Oscar that says "Wife of the Year." SO awesome. I'm going to put it in our Hollywood room. :D For dinner we went to the Hard Rock Hollywood. We have to go to every one of them! lol

The first family stop we made was to my brother Jason's house. It was nice to see everyone there. My nephew David was there and we caught up with each other. He's my childhood best friend! Keith and I also got to meet our newest nephew, Kenzen. He's so cute. :D

The next day was Christmas Eve and we went to my other Brother Mike's house. We helped them wrap presents and eat cookies and such. It was fun! Christmas morning was fun to see the little kids open presents. We even got presents of our own! It was nice of Mike and Megan to do that for us. :D Later in the day Keith and I went to go see Bedtime stories. It was a good movie, but that theater had TERRIBLE service. Wow... We also got lost on the way back to Mikes house. It was an adventure!

The next 2 nights we stayed at Jasons house again. Keith played World of Warcraft with my little nephews and David and I goofed off like old times, making videos and putting googly-eyes on objects. hahaa...

Saturday was Jason and Terrie's big day. They got sealed in the Oakland Temple! We got up early and drove for 2 hours there. It was a lot of fun though. I really love the Oakland Temple, and this time I got to go inside for reals! I was so happy to see my family in there. :D We had a party afterward at Jason and Terrie's home and all my brothers and sisters were there! It's been years since that's happened. I loved it! Megan took our family pictures. I'm excited to see them!

On Sunday we said goodbye and traveled up to Rohnert Park to visit Elder Hyde - Keith's childhood friend from Tennessee. He is in the San Fransisco mission so we tracked him down and surprised him. They were really happy to see each other. It was great! I love surprises.

After church we drove all the way down to L.A. again. We got a motel right in between L.A. and Anaheim so we could have easy access to another day in Hollywood and a day in DISNEYLANDD!!! (But that will be in the next post.)

Our day in Hollywood was good because we were able to see everything in the day time. We ate at the Disney Malt Shoppe place across the Kodak Theater to get us pumped for the next day. After all of that, we decided to go on an adventure - to the Hollywood sign! We had tried last time, but got dead-ended. Sad. This time was a success. We drove all the way to the top of the highest hill closest to it, and we got AMAZING pictures. I was so excited.

The next day was Disneyland. To be continued... xD
